We’re ready to start the South Osborne Local Food Cooperative, and to get the program off the ground we’re hosting a Fund-Raising Social on June 18th, 2010 at 8:30pm at the Riverview Community Centre (90 Ashland Avenue).
We will be serving variety of locally/organically crafted beer, wine and liquor, and delicious snacks from many of the farmers that we’re partnering with for the Local Food Cooperative! Come check out what we have to offer on Friday, June 18th, enjoy local music and a few drinks with friends and neighbours, and help us bring local food to our community. All proceeds go to the South Osborne Urban Community Cooperative Inc, a non-profit organization that focuses on food issues. And, maybe you’ll win some great raffle prizes, too!
Admission is 10$ – Drinks (local and organic!) are 2.50$ – Doors open at 8:30PM (ticket includes membership to the South Osborne Urban Community Cooperative Inc. – that means you have lifetime access to our events and programs. Membership usually costs $5.00).
