Alpha House

Another idea for a great place to donate extra fruit this season.

Alpha House

Alpha House is a second stage housing program (commonly known as shelter) for women to come, with their children, upon leaving a violent relationship.  It is a residential, independent living program, where women and children can access individual and group counselling, as well as educational resources.

Most of the women at Alpha House have left almost all of their personal belongings and are now living on a very tight budget.  Fresh fruit often becomes a luxury item.  These women would be truly grateful to receive some of the delicious fresh fruit that Manitoba has to offer.

Donated fruit would be used eaten fresh and used to prepare meals for residents.
