Oak Table Community Ministry looks forward to connecting the fruit of your garden with people who “drop in” each day.

Oak Table Community Ministry

OTCM offers respect, hospitality and safety, acceptance and encouragement.  The people who are welcomed into this multi-faith environment are neighbours, living in poverty (working or not), homeless or inadequately housed, living with mental and/or physical illness and challenges.  Concerns such as housing, income, health (physical and mental), abuse, employment, food security, education and more are addressed by staff while approximately 10 volunteers prepare great coffee and lovingly make lunch for up to 80 guests daily.  There are many special events throughout the year.

We recognize that many people who drop in are unable to access regular dental care and as a result, are not able to chew hard food.  Your donated fruit will become part of approximately 70 meals creatively prepared each day, Monday to Thursday by these volunteers. We can envision fruit pies, fruit loaves, fruit salads, fruit sauces as some options.  Thank you for thinking of Oak Table.
